Hold the Secret Small

Hold the Secret Small was born on the deck of a whale watching ship in the single breathtaking moment when I first encountered free orcas in the wild. A considerable amount of time was invested in research before I began to write. Details regarding locations, marine life and orca behaviour in Johnston Strait, British Columbia, Canada are accurate.

 

I have barely touched on the abundant wealth of Haida Legends but those included have been retold in accurate although simplistic form. The Legend of Tan-Yaat and the Blackfish is of course purely fiction.

 

As a life long science fiction addict I simply couldn't help but incorporate  the unexpected twist that sheds light on a secret that the Haida Blackfish (which we know as Orcas) have kept for millions of years.
